Sample Patient Letter – Transition to Essential-Only Care
Dear Patients,
As the coronavirus crisis continues to unfold, the health of our patients and team members remains our highest priority. In compliance with recommendations from the state and the American Dental Association, we are postponing all non-essential dental procedures. We will continue to help patients with emergency dental needs get the care they need.
If you are experiencing dental pain or infection, or otherwise believe you require emergency dental care, please contact us. You can also reach out to reschedule an appointment; otherwise, we will contact you as soon as we’re ready to return to normal operating hours.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as the situation progresses. Your health, and the health of our team members, remains our top priority.
Sample Patient Letter – Initial Precautionary Measures
Dear Patients,
Our practice teams are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. According to the CDC, the immediate health risk is currently considered low for most of the American public; however, we are taking extra precautionary measures to ensure the well-being of our patients and staff. Fortunately, the standard sterilization and disinfection protocols we use, recommended by the American Dental Association, will eliminate the viruses that cause communicable diseases like COVID-19.
For the safety of yourself and others, we are asking all patients who are experiencing symptoms of the flu or a respiratory infection, or have been exposed to a person with coronavirus or any other communicable disease, to reschedule their appointments. We will be posting information in our practices and following CDC recommendations for pre-screening our patients. If you are experiencing symptoms of the coronavirus, please seek guidance from your primary physician.
The CDC offers several tips for preventing the spread of viruses, such as properly washing your hands, disinfecting surfaces and staying home when sick. Please review the CDC’s recommendations to learn how you can keep yourself and your family healthy.
We will provide additional updates if the coronavirus situation progresses. The health of our patients and team members remains our highest priority.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
