Mortenson Dental Partners (MDP) is driven by its mission to improve the lives of others by living our values every day. These values are caring for everyone, sharing abundantly, building relationships and expressing gratitude. As part of furthering this mission, MDP makes an effort to give back to the communities it serves. 

The Mortenson Charitable Foundation

In 2008, MDP’s founder and his wife, Sue, established the Mortenson Charitable Foundation as a certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Through various fundraising efforts, including the annual Smiles for Life campaign, the Foundation is able to support many educational and healthcare initiatives, placing a special emphasis on children where possible. In addition to supporting charitable causes in the community, the Foundation helps team members in times of crisis and in educational pursuits. The Foundation’s Team Member Relief Fund is made possible by the generous support of many MDP team members through voluntary donations. This fund has helped fellow team members keep their homes and cars, and even paid for life-saving medical treatments. This fund also offers annual scholarships to team members or their family members pursuing their education and, during the holiday season, provides holiday meals to team member families in need.

Community Support

In addition to the efforts of the Mortenson Charitable Foundation, MDP and the practices it supports give back to communities in other meaningful ways. For example, many practices supported by MDP hold special free dentistry days to provide dental services to those with limited access to care. Many providers even participate in mission trips to international locations to donate free dental care. When considering sponsorships, practices often look for opportunities to educate communities on the importance of oral health care while supporting an important cause like ending homelessness or feeding hungry children.
